As our Jaguar Land Rover Technical Advisor for The AA you’ll provide a prestige service to your customers. With your expert knowledge, you’ll provide invaluable assistance to JLR customers, Patrols, Deployment staff and 3rd parties, making sure they get the advice and resources that they need.

Salary: Up to £35,000 pa plus benefits
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, shifts between 0800 – 2000 Monday to Sunday.

Our JLR Technical team are growing! As our JLR Technical advisor, you’ll be reporting into our Technical Liaison engineer alongside 3 other dedicated professionals. Your laser focus on JLR technologies, and our additional training mean you’ll quickly be the go-to expert for Patrols and customers for JLR fixes.
Providing technical support, advice and repair methods to our roadside patrols, indoor deployment teams and customers enabling vehicles to be repaired at roadside
Assessing breakdown tasks identified via multiple forms of communication including but not limited to; Telephone, Email, SMS, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, AA Help streams i.e., Telefix, X-Fix, Recovery Mileage etc.
Utilising your detail knowledge of Automotive technology you will identify correct resourcing or repair opportunities to supply an efficient and where appropriate, a cost saving solution
Ensuring data is recorded accurately on the appropriate database to assist with providing detailed management information
You’ll need to be/have:
Mechanical Qualifications: You’ll hold your NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair or an equivalent, appropriate qualification alongside substantial, demonstrable experience in the Motor Vehicle Repair Industry
A Fixer/Problem Solver: You will revel in utilising your technical expertise to help solve a variety of issues, you’ll find solutions to blockers and get our customers moving again
A master communicator: Taking complex technical information and communicating it in a simple and effective way is your superpower! You’ll give customers and Patrols the confidence that whatever the issue, you can help them
Flexible: Breakdowns and car trouble aren’t limited to between 9-5, and neither are you. You understand and are happy to work outside normal hours, on a roster basis that includes weekends.
