Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position.
Our client is now lookingto recruit an ISO Consultant to join their team.
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 + Achievement Based Bonus & Private Health insurance plus company car or car allowance.
Working Hours: Nominally 9am to 5pm for 5 days per week, flexible and stay aways will be required
Pension: Total Contribution 8% (3% employer contribution)
Holiday: 23 days plus stats. You accrue and extra day after 1 years service and 2 years service.
The Business
Our Client was established to help businesses with their quality management systems through effective implementation which adds benefit to the business - not merely be a box ticking exercise. Whilst the quality aspect remains, the business is so much more than this and now works with their clients to help them meet system standards in Environment, Occupational Health and Safety and Information Security Management Systems amongst others. Theywork with companies located across Englandranging from small local companies to larger organisations, some of whom are respected leaders in their field.
Role
As an ISO Consultant, you will be carrying out internal audits to identify where businesses can improve, advising senior leadership teams in organisations of how to implement ISO compliant systems, coaching them through the process and assisting through the certification audit. The role will then become one of helping the client maintain their system through internal auditing, maintenance and coaching to encourage and facilitate continual improvement within the organisation.
**This role will involve regular travel around the UK with some stay overs dependant on the client requirementsand locations
Responsibilities & Duties
You will be expected to lead clients becoming and maintaining ISO (or other relevant) compliance by:
• Building and embedding our ISO compliant systems into theirclients’ businesses
• Advising clients on setting and monitoring relevant objectives
• Carrying out and reporting internal audit reports
• Conducting Management Reviews with the management teams
• Engaging Certification bodies on behalf of clients
• Improving the systems through closing out and helping the business close non-conformances
You will also be expected to cross-sell theirservices to existing clients and develop opportunities with new clients.
You will be expected to become proficient in all of ISO9001 (Quality), ISO14001 (Environmental), ISO27001 (Information Security) and ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Person Attributes
The ISO Consultant is expected to be a self-starter who is confident and able to advise and bring ideas to senior leadership teams as well as dealing with clients’ blue collar employees. To this end the individual must have good communication skills and a level of empathy and discernment to be able to quickly understand processes and situations, and advise in a constructive manner to help businesses improve.
The Consultant must possess openness and inquisitive skills for auditing purposes.
Experience working in a compliance environment is necessary, and whilst an in depth knowledge of auditing and ISO standards is an advantage, it is not necessary as industry leading training will be provided. Training to IRCA approved Lead Auditor status will be included.
