Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Just outside Blackburn (10-minute drive)

Qualifications: Must hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience: Essential experience in managing behavior or working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)/Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)

Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Term time only

Contract: Long-term

Are you an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with diverse needs? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at a school located just outside of Blackburn.

Responsibilities:

Support the teacher in delivering effective and engaging lessons.

Work closely with students with SEND/SEMH needs, providing tailored assistance to ensure their academic and social development.

Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborate with the teaching team and other professionals to meet the individual needs of students.

Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to support the overall well-being of students.

Requirements:

Teaching Assistant qualification is mandatory.

Proven experience in managing behavior or working with students with SEND/SEMH.

Ability to travel to the school, located just outside Blackburn (10-minute drive).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs.

Working Hours:

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, during term time only. This is a long-term position, offering stability and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and development of our students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
