Axcis Education are working with a well renowned Alternative provision in Stroud who are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Mentor. The role is designed to reduce negative behaviour patterns for children with complex trauma by implementing a therapeutic, research-led approach to encourage positive behaviour. The position is full time and working hours are 8.30-3.30. The rate of pay will be between £80-£95 a day, depending on your previous experience and qualifications. The school tailor their curriculum to meet the needs of the students, developing a range of skills knowledge, attitudes and understanding so all students can aspire to their full potential. The students arrive at various points of their education system, and so experience in assessing and differentiating to meet the needs of the children is desirable. The school’s purpose is to support students to create a future, where everyone can develop and succeed. The school are looking for a candidate who has previous experience working with pupils with SEND, preferably experience working with pupils who have complex trauma or display challenging behaviour.
