Job description

Bela Recruitment is hiring a permanent General Manager to support a business owner in Omagh, Co.Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

The Company
This is a very unique role, to join a business with around 15 staff who are super successful in their sector and have been trading for over 30 years.
In the time they have built a loyal network of customers across the UK, Ireland and around the globe thanks to their high-quality products, and attention to detail, and remain the leaders in this sector.
As General Manager, you will support the owner with all daily operations and ensure smooth integration between 3 main functions, Sales, Operations and Finance.

Responsibilities
· Help integrate the Sales – Operations and Finance teams, ensuring each team & staff member knows their functions and can deliver on project quality and timescales.
· Understand & drive daily operations, planning current and future projects, quickly finding solutions to issues, and holding people accountable for working standards.
· The business is always kept busy given the demand for their services, as such, you will need excellent organisation skills, planning and monitoring ability, strong leadership skills and commercial awareness.
· Understand upcoming projects, delegate tasks & timescales for each aspect of the project and work with the owner to ensure excellent service is always provided to clients.
· A key aspect of this job is ensuring the 3 major functions, sales, operations & finance, work positively, have highly effective communication, projects are planned correctly, solutions are found quickly, and the teams become smarter for the next project ahead.
· Support will be provided to any new person to learn the business and processes from both the owner and senior management team.

Requirements
· Ideally min of 3-4 years of Business Management experience at a senior level, this can be gained from owning your own company or running a successful business for someone else in the past. We might also consider very driven people with experience in Production Management, Production Planning, or Supply Chain, Project Management or Operational Management.
· Strong people management skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to integrate teams & people.
· Strong project management skills, ability to plan for future works, manage daily projects and ensure smooth delivery of products & services to clients.
· Strong IT & Communication Skills, leadership skills, also willingness to learn new equipment and processes in manufacturing.
· Ideally live within 45 minutes of Omagh.

This is not a typical General Manager-type job with crazy working hours or expectations.
The business & owner operate set business hours and as GM you should have a pretty standard working week, with an excellent work/life balance.
