We have ambitious plans to develop our business and have an excellent opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our team to support the delivery of our People Plan. Reporting initially to the HR Director, - the role will offer the successful candidate training, mentoring and career development opportunities.

As a HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our recruitment and retention processes, as well as providing generalist HR support to the Morris & Spottiswood Group of companies. We are looking for someone with a proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the HR field. Key Duties:

Candidate requirements:
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, a strong character that thrives in a team environment but can also work on their own initiative and think creatively. You will have a resilient personality and be a confident communicator at all levels, with a proven record of building relationships with internal clients. With excellent written communication skills, you will be able to plan and prioritise workload to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet business requirements and deadlines. Given the nature of the role, candidates must offer a level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive HR information.

The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified (or working towards) and will be motivated to work in a fast-paced environment, ideally with previous experience in supporting recruitment activities. You will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience at a similar level. Previous experience in construction would be beneficial, but not essential. The role also requires excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and using payroll databases.

Compensation and Benefits:
We are offering a full-time position with a 39-hour working week with a hybrid working model. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work both from home and our Glasgow Office, enabling them to benefit from an environment to support training and development. Our standard hours of work are 8am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, 8am – 4pm on a Friday with 1 hour lunch break each day. There may be times you are required to vary working hours to engage with candidates outside of normal working hours (e.g., varying hours to 9am – 6pm).
