Housing Service Manager ~
We are working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Stratford Upon Avon who are looking to appoint an experienced Housing Servies Manager to join their Homelessness Support Team.
This will be a full time (37hrs pw), hybrid position working minimum of 2 days in the office which is based in Stratford upon Avon, (though for the right candidate there may be some flexibility in this).
Rate of Pay - £30 per hour (negotiable on experience - Please state your desired rate)
Contract - 3-6 months with a view to extended into a permanent position.
Location – Stratford Upon Avon. (Hybrid - office 2 days per week as a minimum)
Main duties will include the following:
The role reports directly to the Housing Solutions & Support Lead and is directly responsible for a Team of Housing Solutions Officers / and or Move on Officers.
To oversee the management of the three operational sections of the Housing Team.
Private Sector Housing (including housing enforcement, grants and empty properties) Policy and Development.
Housing Advice and Homelessness, and the maintenance of the Common Housing Register.
To ensure that the Council fulfils its role as a strategic enabling authority in respect of housing with the aim of ensuring that the long-term requirements of everyone living in the district are catered for. To provide clear guidance to partners to facilitate this.
To ensure the assessment of housing needs and the condition of its supply within the district, having regard to the availability of tools such as housing market assessments and stock condition surveys, information collected and held by housing associations (and other organisations) and housing register information.
To oversee the preparation of the Housing Investment Programme and Housing Strategy.
Experience/Knowledge Needed:
Local Authority / Public Sector.
Private Sector Housing Management.
Housing Advice.
Homelessness Service Support.
