CARING and
PASSIONATE Support Workers to join a Residential Service for Young Adults with Learning Disabilities and complex needs. The service, which is located near
Royston, Cambridgeshire , and is CQC-rated
OUTSTANDING supports adults aged 18+ The service is looking for candidates with a caring nature and the ability to have fun and engage with the people they support.
Set within 14 acres the service offers a supportive living and learning environment for young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. With specialist facilities and a focus on promoting independence, supporting each of our young services through the transition from education into adulthood with a focus on person-centred programmes to promote independence
***You do not need to have experience in the care sector, we can support and train you on your journey to attain your NVQ level 3 in Adults Health and Social Care***- Job Title: Support Worker
- Salary: £24,377 - £26,582 + £1500 Welcome Bonus
- Location: Near Royston, Cambridgeshire
- Hours: Full-time and Part-time hours available!
- Contract Type: Permanent

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for the following:
- You will be working 1:1 with a resident on each shift.
- You will have the freedom to plan their day in line with their choices and wishes, enabling them to be as independent as possible, seeing them thrive and enjoy making memories
- You will be providing personal care to residents as well as supporting them in a wide range of learning, development and social activities including arts and crafts, cookery, music, gardening, swimming, shopping trips and fun social occasions.
- We are looking for proactive individuals who can demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a person-centred approach to supporting our young people.
- Ensuring the safety of the service users.
- Following care plans for each individual.
- Taking service users out into the community.
- Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening and day trips.
Requirements:
- No experience is required.
- Motivated to learn and to go the extra mile
- Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
- Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and understanding
- Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- An active approach to the role
