Job Title: Senior Care Assistant
Location: Clacton-on-Sea
About this role- My Client has a small nursing home dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to elderly individuals in Clacton-on-Sea. As part of their commitment to excellence, they are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join the team.
Position Overview: As a Senior Care Assistant at, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our residents. You will work closely with our nursing staff and other care professionals to ensure that residents receive high-quality care that meets their physical, emotional, and social needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support residents with mobility issues, including using mobility aids and assisting with transfers.
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document administration accurately.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and assist residents with feeding if necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist with therapy and exercise routines as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Uphold the dignity, privacy, and rights of residents at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly individuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, responsible, and dedicated to providing excellent care.
