Job description

Waites Recruitment Consultancy are seeking a Project Manager / Contracts manager to start immediately for a client who has a projects that is for 6 months based in London, with high chance of extenstion to a permanent position. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a very established construction client.

PM/Contracts Manager:

Job Title: Project Manager/Contracts Manager – Hotel Refurbishment (76 Bed Live Hotel)

Experience Requirement:

– Minimum of 7 years experience in project management, with a focus on refurbishment or construction contracts.

– Proven experience in negotiating and managing contracts, including subcontractor agreements.

– In–depth knowledge of construction and contract law, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

– experience in owning programme planning, budget management, scope management, client engagement & reporting.

Day–to–Day:

1. Oversee the implementation and execution of project plans, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and project goals.

2. Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.

3. Monitor project budgets and financial performance, identifying cost–saving opportunities and managing change orders.

4. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure contracts are legally sound and meet regulatory requirements.

5. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.

Weekly:

1. Conduct weekly project status meetings to review contract compliance, financial performance, and potential risks.

2. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence, maintaining accurate and organized records.

3. Coordinate with the project manager to ensure seamless communication and alignment between contractual obligations and project execution.

Outputs Required:

1. Effective contract negotiation and management, resulting in favorable terms and conditions.

2. Comprehensive project documentation, including accurate records of contract amendments, plan, reports, change orders, and financial transactions.

3. Successful resolution of contractual disputes and issues in collaboration with legal and project teams.

4. Timely and accurate financial reporting, highlighting project performance against budget and forecasts.

This role demands a seasoned professional capable of managing complex contracts, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel refurbishment project.
