Job description
Doing Amazing Things Together
We’re all about possibilities. Are you?
Is community important to you? Are you outgoing, passionate and courteous?
Become a Support Worker.
What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.
Our Outreach support across the Newbury area works alongside people living in their own homes who need people like you to ensure they can live as independently as possible.
If you are good at cooking, managing a budget, planning and managing your time. Or just passionate about helping others, then you could be part of our team supporting people to maintain or learn new skills needed to live their best life!
For this role we need you to be a driver with access to your own car, so you can get around Newbury and make the most of the time you are spending with the people you support. (Mileage paid)
This is a fulltime role for a Female support worker.
You should be available to work shifts across the week and some weekends, including some sleep-in shifts as needed.
So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.
"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010".
Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence
Why Join Us?
What will we do?
We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.
We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.
We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.
What will you do?
Supporting people is really important but it’s not all shopping trips and cooking. We also support people to take medication, assist with personal care, make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way that they feel safe, well and happy.
