Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant seeking a role where you can make a direct impact in a child’s personal, educational and social growth?
A lovely Primary School located in Llantwit Major are currently hiring an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work full-time on a 1:1 basis with a Year 5 child who has Autism (ASD).
Roles & Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
An LSA plays a crucial role in supporting the learning of individuals who have additional provisions within the classroom.
This role as a Learning Support Assistant will require the successful individual to:
* Provide targeted support to students with ALN, ensuring their inclusion with the class and their academic progress.
* Communicate effectively with teachers, school staff, pupils and parents.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Be hands on and proactive in assisting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities.
The requirements to be considered for this role as a Learning Support Assistant:
* Ideally, the successful applicant will have obtained a CACHE Level 1/2/3 in a Teaching Assistant, Learning & Development or LSA course.
* Previous experience supporting children with additional learning needs, specifically ASD.
* Previous experience working within a Primary School setting.
* Ideally, you will already have an in date Enhanced DBS check.
* You will also ideally be registered with the EWC.
*We can assist with helping you obtain a DBS and registration with the EWC.
