Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is looking for the next step in your career?

This is a great opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cheshire. They have been established for over 50 years and specialise in construction, engineering, large scale infrastructure and multi-million pound frameworks, working on a variety of projects that can be valued in excess of £100m.

The company work across multiple sectors including the healthcare, education, residential and leisure, as well as large scale infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

The role - Quantity Surveyor

Our client is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team reporting into the Senior QS and Commercial Manager on all commercial aspects of a £50m healthcare project in Cheshire.

Duties & Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

• Preparation of bills of quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
• Cost reporting.
• Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
• Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
• Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.

Required skills/knowledge:

• At least 5 years' experience in a QS position.
• Have experience working on similar projects.
• Have a strong Main Contractor background.
