Job description
HVSS (High Voltage Substation Services) Ltd specializes in design, construction, installation and commissioning of High Voltage Substations Systems up to 400kV, providing a comprehensive service for all aspects of high voltage substation civil and electrical construction from the very earliest stages to testing & commissioning and handover.
Due to recent awards and growing pipeline of works, HVSS are looking to recruit a Site Project coordinator with a background in, DNO’s, ICPs, Substations or High Voltage construction.
The right candidate will be needed to lead the construction and delivery of projects to clients in the LV and HV substation / construction projects. Some of the key expected expertise and responsibilities would be the following but not limited to-
• Site documentation control – Upkeep latest construction drawings and ensuing correct drawing are used by construction team, subcontractors
• MIS reports – Prepare daily, weekly and monthly site progress reports.
• Record keeping- Coordinate with subcontractors , suppliers, internal and external team to collect and record raw data and formulate data into reports
• Material management – Track/ documentation of material receipt at site, issuance to subcontractor for installation, balance stock at site.
• Coordination- with HQ team and cross functional team (such as HSEQ, procurement, design engineering), suppliers, subcontractors, vendors, client and consultants
• Support quality team to keep record of installation , construction and commissioning check sheets.
• Control of construction as built documentation.
• Support services to commercial team.
• Keep track of program and timely update progress as well as the program. It would be preferrable if the candidate can work on MS projects or equivalent.
• IT literate with experience using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel;
• Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills;
• Keen, motivated and reliable;
• Willing to undertake a DBS check prior to starting in the position;
• Willingness to learn new skills with supervision from senior staff;
• Able to drive and have access to a vehicle (Company Vehicle or car user allowance with be provided);
• Be able to work as part of a team and also independently.
Training will be provided but any experience in managing projects would be ideal.
