Salary: Leadership Pay Scale Points: 21-24 (£77,194 to £83,081 per annum) and up to an additional 10% of salary based on annual performance related bonus plus relocation allowance 

Starting September 2024

This is a tremendous and rare opportunity to become the Principal of Great Yarmouth Primary Academy. The principal’s core duty is to provide the leadership and management necessary to secure high quality educational provision and to achieve the highest outcomes for pupils. They will also work with the Chief Executive and Primary Director to develop a strategic direction for the school and analyse and plan for its future needs and further development within its local, national and international context. 

The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering strong academic and pastoral excellence, along with a passion for and commitment to making a difference to children and communities. We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will enjoy visible leadership and will be dedicated to supporting the best life chances for all young people. 

Great Yarmouth Primary Academy is an Ofsted 'Good' school in the heart of Great Yarmouth. The school is proud to serve an immensely diverse community and are committed to continuing to raise educational standards ensuring children develop academically and socially. Its knowledge rich curriculum is developed by a team who are passionate about pedagogical understanding with English and Maths at the heart of our learning.

The school also provides an extensive wider curriculum ensuring children have the knowledge, skills, and cultural capital to progress in their school career and into adult life. Great Yarmouth Primary Academy has an ever-increasing extra-curricular offering which is also important in developing lifelong passions and enthusiasm for children which will support their education and wellbeing. The academy is developing the foundations of a community hub within school, which will ensure children from birth - 11 years as well as parents are able to access support and develop relationships with educational professionals in order to maximise the impact of the academy.
