There is an immediate opening for a Weld Coordinator - 1st shift.

Position: Weld Coordinator - 1st shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products.
- Will oversee all production flow through department.
- Responsible for training and upholding quality work standards.
- Acts as a liaison between the employee and manager regarding work related issues and information.
- Accountable for making sure all equipment in his/her department is in safe running condition.
- Works to promote cooperation, teamwork and positive attitudes with his/her employees and other areas and leads by example.
- Adjusts equipment or welding technique to produce appropriate welds.
- Will oversee production targets.
- Follows assignments and responsibilities given by his/her Manager.
- Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
- Ensure safe operations.
- Have the ability to establish and execute a monthly plan.
- Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
- Assist with the maintenance of the China Compulsory certification (CCC) system.
- Administer performance reviews.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Must have a good understanding of welding fundamentals, the types of welding used, the set up and operation of welding equipment and an understanding of what constitutes a good or bad weld.
