Salary range: £50,000 - £60,000

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Master Data Management Specialist with a strong focus on managing customer master data. In this role, you will be part of the Data Strategy & Governance team working on a wide range of initiatives to ensure Bupa data in the UK is accurate, fit for our strategies and abides by our Data Governance Framework. You will assist and ensure data quality checks, solutions, controls, documents and processes are implemented and managed to an agreed tolerance level. Bupa databases are monitored for compliance to GDPR policies and standards, you are required to monitor and manage compliance.
How you'll help us make health happen:
Manage end-to-end development and management of data quality processes in Bupa UK, and ensure that they abide by our Data Governance Framework.
Interface with internal departments to capture requirements, ensuring they are understood, tasked and delivered within time and resource.
Responsible for the security, access and usage of the relevant toolsets.
Manage and resolve Master Data queries.
Review workloads and analyse resource requirements.
Facilitate the development of effective Master Data requirements through a solid understanding of the Bupa processes, the applications and the data.
Assess organisational opportunities to improve data at source, ensuring we capture data accurately from the start and enforce departmental operation procedures, applicable security practices, production policies and support needs to ensure that the quality of service provided meets customer requirements.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, or a related field.
Proven experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles, preferably with a focus on customer master data.
Proven experience with managing Master Data Processes in an enterprise organisation
Proven experience with managing bulk cleansing of Master Data in complex systems
Experience and motivation for developing, producing and maintaining easy to understand data process documentation and controls.
Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
In-depth knowledge of customer data management concepts, including data modelling, data integration, and data quality management.
Familiarity with data governance tools, data cataloguing tools, and customer master data management systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data-related issues and propose effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and their impact on customer data management.
Familiarity with industry-standard data governance and data quality frameworks (e.g., DAMA, DMBOK, CDMC, DCAM).
Certifications in data management and data governance (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) are a plus.
