Job Title: Audit and Accounts Senior - Taunton

We are looking for a qualified accountant, with the prestigious ACMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification, to join our team as an Audit and Accounts Senior in our Taunton office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual who is looking to further their career with a leading and innovative accountancy firm.

As an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing and reviewing all aspects of audit and accounts work. You will provide a high level of client service, ensuring all deadlines and expectations are met, while also playing an integral part in the development and support of more junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a portfolio of clients, including audit, accounts preparation, and tax compliance.

* Plan, lead and oversee the entire audit process from start to finish.

* Ensure financial statements are compliant with relevant accounting standards.

* Maintain and develop relationships with clients, providing high-quality solutions to their queries and needs.

* Oversee and review the work of junior team members, ensuring accuracy and quality.

* Support the development and training of team members, providing guidance and support when necessary.

* Keep up-to-date with current technical and industry knowledge.

* Liaise with partners and directors to identify growth opportunities and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the firm.

Qualifications and Experience:

* ACMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified accountant.

* A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in audit and accounts work.

* Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and audit methodology.

* Proven experience in managing a portfolio of clients, including audit and accounts preparation.

* Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

* Highly organized with excellent time management skills, able to prioritise conflicting deadlines.

* Excellent client relationship skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.

* Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
