About the Role
As a Dispatch and Data Analytics Specialist, you will be leading the development of the functions data and analytic requirements, identifying trends that translate into recommended areas of improvement for key deliverables. You will be expected to Implement a suite of Dispatch insight dashboards to enable the proactive management of internal and external operational resource.
You will ensure the provision of accurate, timely and appropriate management information to support decision-making and service effectiveness.What you’ll get to work on
- Producing regular weekly, monthly and annual insight, reporting and KPI to support operational delivery to senior stakeholders
- Upskilling the department leads to create a base level of capability in understanding data and its importance in driving performance and continuous improvement
- Evaluating and responding to emerging situations and support operations during incidents to ensure continued safety of the public
- Develop fit for purpose digital tools and processes which provide intelligence from data, performance information and wider organisational intelligence, which is presented in ways that inform decision-making at all levels
- Promoting continuous improvement by sourcing and sharing best practice to make use of emerging thinking, new technology and innovation to maximise data quality, data handling and strategic use of data
- Leading a virtual team to ensure the provision of a performance orientated, cost effective, service; Creating, communicating, and championing the overall Data strategy for the department
- Stakeholder and customer relationship management to provide timely and relevant feedback based on plan execution
- Supporting the Networks’ data and performance management functions to ensure that there is a link between the different functions strategies and they are aligned to key organisational deliverables
- The role holder will be required to be on a “stand-by” rota.What we are looking for
- Experience and understanding of Dispatch activities, along with managing teams directly and influencing across virtual teams.
- Proven leadership, management, communication, and influencing/negotiating skills to build and maintain effective relationships with staff and management at all levels, both internally and across stakeholder groups
- Analytical thinker with relevant experience and familiarity of using data visualisation tools such as Power BI
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques to drive incremental and step change improvements in performance
- Ability to consider data quality and accuracy from commercial aspects, including system and process changes and their impacts on internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced Excel user who can effectively and clearly present data results visually, verbally and in writing and adept at influencing decisions through data led narratives
- Understanding and practical use of dispatch systems and how they interact with other core IS infrastructure.
What we are looking for
- Competence in SAP CRM, SAP PM, Transaction Brokers, Finesse, eGain, Verint Suite of applications i.e. Impact 360, Pulse, Power BI, CISCO CUCM and Microsoft packages i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Knowledge of Customer Centre processes and competence to complete quality assurance
- Business Continuity Management planning, design, audit qualification
- Knowledge of HR Policies and Procedures
- Ability to have difficult conversations with team and Customers
- Confident and professional manner
- Ability to influence others whilst managing conflicting priorities to ensure the delivery of our responsibilities
- Effective prioritisation & time management, and good planning & organisational skills
- Build and establish effective relationships
