Job description
In the role of a Marketing Data Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics, statistics, visualization, and marketing fundamentals. Your responsibilities will involve interpreting complex data sets, crafting insightful Power BI reports, and providing actionable recommendations to guide our client's marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and upkeep dynamic Power BI dashboards and visualizations to depict marketing insights.
Perform in-depth analysis of customer, market, and competitor data to uncover trends, opportunities, and potential obstacles.
Generate Power BI reports for the marketing department to illustrate business achievements and competitive positioning.
Execute queries on complex relational databases for report generation and data extraction for further analysis.
Apply statistical analysis tools to decode data sets, focusing on identifying patterns and trends for both diagnostic and predictive analytics purposes.
Partner with the marketing team to derive actionable insights for enhancing lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
Keep track of and predict marketing and sales trends through detailed data analysis.
Implement A/B testing and other methodologies to refine marketing efforts.
Engage with internal teams to assess data requirements and ensure the delivery of comprehensive data insights.
Remain informed about the latest advancements in marketing data analysis, as well as relevant tools and technologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, business analytics, or a related area is preferred, or QBE is equally accepted
Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Skilled in SQL for querying relational database management systems.
Demonstrated experience in a data analyst capacity.
Exceptional analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and the ability to synthesize and communicate complex information effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Desirable Attributes:
Experience with Python for data analysis and statistical tasks.
A good understanding of digital marketing tools and methodologies.
Previous role experience in a data analytics capacity within a marketing framework is highly advantageous.
