The opportunity: Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice

We are delighted to be offering the opportunity for an Apprentice Manufacturing Engineering Technician. You will be part of the busy Manufacturing Engineering Team, learning alongside highly skilled Engineers and further education organized by the company to ensure you have the best opportunities to progress your career. We are looking for someone with a passion for developing high quality engineering skills and a keenness to learn.
What you’ll do as an Apprentice Manufacturing Engineering Technician :
You will be working on innovative and exciting projects, working within IPTs (Integrated Project Teams). Using innovative machines such as Spectroscopy and AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection). Looking into process development and production easement taking in to consideration DFX (Design for Manufacturing). Opportunities to visit other sites and get involved with Apprentice lead activities. You will often be responsible for planning and completing work independently. With time management a key skill. Working using the principles of Lean and 6 Sigma. Ensuring all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are met.
What we need from you:
Have the ability to work not only with your hands but also the diligence to work with complicated build instructions and documentation. A keenness to learn and develop professionally and focus on the job in hand.
Have a genuine interest and passion for engineering and enjoy solving technical issues.
Previous experience with engineering processes such as soldering, additive manufacturing, welding or other engineering process preferred but not essential.

The starting salary for this role is £17,000
