What is the role?

The Information and Advice Hub offers free, impartial, and confidential advice services to residents across South Ayrshire. Working in this role you need to be completely customer focused, have a background in delivering a welfare rights and/or money advice service and experience of supervising a team.

To succeed you need to demonstrate your ability to understand and apply current and relevant legislation, guidance and procedures relating to money and/or welfare benefits. The training and development of advisors is a priority within the service and will be the ongoing responsibility of the post holder, you must organise formal training, provide mentoring and coaching and record all training that takes place. You should be able to abstract, understand and analyse data from a range of sources to identify trends, provide data to support the service plan and drive the future direction of the service. You will be flexible to meet the changing needs of the service and have the ability to identify and make changes to the way we work to improve service provision.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in supervising a diverse team across a range of subject matters. The preferred candidate should also have excellent IT skills and the ability to use multiple systems simultaneously.

Extra Information:

The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 10; the hourly rate is from £23.07 to £24.26 and the annual salary is from £42,103 to £44,274.

The successful candidate will primarily work from home with occasional travel within the South Ayrshire area. Frequency for attending the office may vary depending on the exigencies of the service.
