Job description

This role requires:
Strong administrative skills
Full FPC
Studying for further industry exams
2 years minimum IFA industry experience
Good general knowledge of all investment, life and pensions products and legislation
Good technical knowledge

They will need the ability to build a strong proactive working relationship with the technical adviser, adviser, administrator and clients with whom they will deal. They will need the aptitude to assist the adviser and clients in an efficient, enthusiastic, forward thinking manner using organisational and prioritising skills. They should be able to work well under pressure using their own initiative as well as part of the team. The person suited for this role must maintain strict confidentiality in performing their duties. They must also demonstrate the following personal attributes:
Working Conditions
It may be necessary to occasionally work outside of normal office hours in order to meet demands of client meetings.
In particular February and March each year and running up to the tax year end can be exceptionally busy and along with other team members, it may not be possible to take annual leave at this time, unless due to exceptional circumstances.
Communication Communication with clients, within the team and with providers. Includes communicating urgent Property and Tax updates to clients and liaison with Providers as necessary.
Switching Online switching within strict timescales and the follow up to confirm switches completed correctly.
Research To investigate, source and provide information requested as accurately as possible within 5 days of request or such reasonable timescale as the request dictates.
Quotations Requests for quotations where all relevant data is available should be actioned on the day of request or within 2 days where immediate action is not possible.
Preparing Valuations Schedules to be prepared within 1 week of request, providing full client reporting.
Meetings Preparation for client meetings and/or internal meetings which should be attended promptly.
Pension Drawdown Assisting with the preparation of phased and full pension drawdown reviews.
Reports/Suitability letters Preparing or assisting the report writer with the preparation of reason why letters and reports.
Hours
Normal working hours will be between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm.
