Job description

A firm of Chartered Accountants based near Newton Aycliffe who pride themselves on the delivery of first class customer service are looking to appoint a Practice Accountant or Accounts Senior to their firm to support the Partners.

Working with local businesses you will be responsible for the delivery of the following services to a portfolio of clients:

• Preparation of annual accounts for unincorporated, limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparation of VAT returns and drafting of tax computations.
• Dealing with any client queries regarding accounts and bookkeeping
• Supervision of the AAT /ACCA students assisting them with their work and reviewing accounts.

We are looking for a qualified or by experience Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a minimum of 3-4 years experience from an accounting firm. You will be proficient with accounting software either Sage, Xero or quickbooks. You will be capable of preparing and reviewing statutory year end accounts.

This is a lovely team to be part of in a local office that offers progression to management and great exposure with supporting more juniors and the opportunity to work more closely with clients.
