More detail about the role The service is based in the newly built Fern Centre specifically built to support cancer patients and their families at the Royal Devon University Hospital (Northern). You will have access to regular inhouse clinical supervision, mentorship, wellbeing support and training opportunities. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and compassionate individual to bring their own unique therapeutic skillset to the counselling team and work alongside the staff within the wider Fern Centre. This role will involve the provision of 1-1 counselling sessions for people living with and beyond cancer as well as their partners and carers, occasional group work and close working with the team members of the wider Fern Centre to ensure that the best possible holistic care is provided. The successful candidate will be a member of an appropriate governing body such as BACP or NCPS, they will hold their own public indemnity insurance, and be qualified to level 4 counselling or above. They will be skilled in the application of integrative counselling theory in practice and case formulation specific to the needs of their individual clients.
