Job description

South Hampstead Junior School is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic teacher to assist with the delivery of the academic vision and direction of our Junior School, as Deputy Head, Academic.

Working closely with the Head of the Junior School and other members of our Senior Leadership Team, you will assume overall responsibility for developing an inspiring and innovative curriculum. You will have key input into the Junior School Development Plan, including learning, pupil progress, teaching and assessment. You will also line manage teaching staff and will assume a 25% teaching load.

We are looking for a well-qualified teacher with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. You will be capable of working effectively as a member of a leadership team, can inspire others and lead by example to support the Junior School's vision. A proven track record of excellent classroom practice is essential. Substantial and successful experience of curriculum leadership and management is desirable, but not essential.
