Job description

Stockport Grammar School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of MFL from September 2024. The successful candidate must be able to offer two languages (the school currently offers French, German and Spanish). A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school is essential.

Person Specification

The successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate the following:

• A good honours degree in a language related degree, a PGCE or equivalent and QTS
• Experience of delivering outstanding lessons
• Significant understanding of Teaching & Learning pedagogy
• Experience of developing and implementing Schemes of Work
• Proven ability to build close professional relationships with other colleagues
• Good skills in ICT, and in verbal and written communication
• Proven ability to develop vision, to plan and to innovate
• Commitment to continuing professional development
• Commitment to Safeguarding
