Electrical Design Engineer
Barnsley, South Yorkshire

£30,000 - £60,000 (DOE) + Training + Excellent Progression Opportunities + Pension + Holidays + Wellness Programme

Do you have experience designing electrical power systems, high voltage electrical systems or electrical infrastructure? Are you looking for a role that will offer technical challenge, autonomy and the ability to progress into senior roles?

This independent consultancy firm specialise in power systems consultation, design and analysis. They represent a wide variety of clients across the UK and hold 17+ years within their field. They're seeking motivated individuals with previous experience within Electrical Design to showcase their existing skillset to play a key role in this exciting time of growth they're experiencing and anticipating for the future, allowing room for internal progression.

In this role the design engineer will be tasked with offering design services to a wide range of renewables, industrial, property and other development projects, requiring medium or high voltage electrical infrastructure. In addition to design duties, the Design Engineers responsibilities will include the client interface, assisting with the preparation of bids and proposals and ensuring the delivery of the projects in accordance with the company's quality, safety and environment procedures.

The ideal candidate would have a recognised technical specialism in the power systems sector and have skills in the design of distribution networks up to 132kV.

The Person:
* Holds an HNC / HND qualification or degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
* Previous experience working on HV voltage, power design, substation design, power cables, electrical infrastructure projects
* Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
* Motivated individual seeking to progress their career
