Production Planner

Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased schedule. Assemble schedule reporting regarding the shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan. Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand. Manage load levelling and bottleneck scheduling and utilize theory of constraints (TOC) for more accurate scheduling. Analyse production floor status through input/output control reporting. Schedule supply based on the product mix and provide accurate commitment dates to customer service team across multiple product lines. Calculates and maintains PTP levels, lead-time, and replenishment strategies.
Your responsibilities
- The creation of production schedules for each area of responsibility.
- Establishes and shares best practices for operations planning, inventory management and resource management.
- Works with customer service to provide appropriate delivery dates.
- Calculate production lead times.
- Works closely with production planners and shift leaders to optimise production efficiency through SMART planning.
- Attends daily production meetings for area of responsibility.
- Place PO’s for parts when required.
- Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to priorities, plan, and schedule the production operations.
- Monitor raw material and outsourced component stocks.
Your background
- Minimum 2-year planning experience in manufacturing.
- IT Skills for data entry, analysis & reporting.
- Excellent Excel knowledge.
- Experience of ERP systems.
