1. Specify, purchase, design, qualify and handover effective manufacturing systems to Asset Teams ensuring plant modifications have credible delivery plans
2. Interface with internal/ external technical experts and peers to maintain a broad knowledge of the technology and regulatory issues that impact on the biopharmaceutical businesses enabling technology options to be identified, evaluated, and compared
3. Lead the transfer and scale up of new processes and technologies to the manufacturing plants ensuring requirements for EHS and cGMP compliance are delivered on-time. Effectively realise this through manufacturing records
4. Transfer processes from R&D to Manufacture ensuring that manufacturing capabilities are reflected in the R&D development process
5. Provide process engineering expertise to siting exercises placing new processes into existing assets or moving processes currently operated at Billingham into alternative assets
6. Identify improvements to and manage change of technology transfer practices to deliver continuous improvement
7. Lead, motivate, train, and coach all line reports and/or project team members to ensure technical and personal objectives are achieved within agreed time-scales
The job holder requires an honours degree or higher qualification in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) (Essential)
Chartered Member of IChemE or working towards chartership (Desirable)
Work experience in process or pharmaceutical industries (Essential)
Experience in Technology Transfer (Desirable)
Equipment qualification and control of change (Desirable)
