Job description
To lead on the improvement of information and data quality across LNU by providing specialist support to further develop information services associated with Neonatal Care. To lead on the production and analysis of information as determined by the National Service Specification for Neonatal Care and the Network Boards. To provide regular reports to neonatal governance that describes unit performance against key performance indicators (support the identification and development of key performance indicators). Developments. To provide information analysis and support reporting along established pathways and feed into business intelligence systems. To ensure data necessary for performance and quality reporting is provided to support LNU achieve and evidence their work. To work with the Neonatal Lead and LNU Matron to develop written reports to support the local and national objectives/delivery, as defined by the National Service Specification. To ensure that activity information and data systems match current NHS England guidance. To collaborate with network data team with the development of new processes, and enhancement of existing systems of information collection and reporting procedures. To extract and analyse data and performance information and adopt a proactive approach to investigating unexpected trends or changes, using applicable tools such as statistical process control techniques, mapping software and demographic data. To be proficient in a range of software and internal computer systems, such as Microsoft office products, Business Objects, Patient Information Systems, Badgernet Information Systems. To be responsible for highlighting changes observed in patient information analysis that might reflect patient safety concerns to the clinical teams. To undertake any additional duties or tasks commensurate with grade and experience, as deemed appropriate. To develop and deliver an educational package for both nurses and doctors on induction.
