Job description
River View Primary & Nursery School is located at the heart of Stapenhill in Burton on Trent. We are a two-form entry school with a nursery on site. The governing body are looking for two Class Teachers to join our Good school. Our Ofsted report highlighted our curriculum: “The headteacher’s approach to designing the curriculum has been thoughtful and methodical. There is a clear emphasis on broadening pupils’ knowledge by covering a wide range of subjects. These subjects are taught through themes, with a range of memorable learning activities designed to engage pupils’ attention.” This is something we are now building on after reflection during the pandemic.
Ofsted also commented on the strength of the team we have built and we are looking for teachers who are able to strengthen our team further and who are as committed to achieving high standards and meeting the needs of the individual child. You will join a friendly, vibrant and caring staff team who are hardworking and supportive.
We are seeking two dedicated and passionate Class Teachers to join our team at River View Primary & Nursery School. These positions are suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECT) who are committed to providing an outstanding education for our pupils.
As a Class Teacher, you will be an exceptional classroom practitioner with a strong ability to engage and inspire children in their learning. You should be a team player, collaborating with colleagues and actively contributing to the development of our curriculum and school community.
Effective behaviour management skills are essential, as is the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. A good sense of humour will be valued as we believe that creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere is beneficial to both students and staff. We are also looking for someone who is willing to continuously learn and grow, keeping up with the latest educational research and best practices.
