Finance Manager – Reporting and Planning
Stevenage, Hertfordshire (Hybrid 2–3 days on–site)
Circa 70,000 + Generous and Consistent Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will manage a team of 2 responsible for collating information from Divisional Finance Teams to facilitate accurate and timely month end and year end reporting, production of Statutory Accounts including consolidation, Balance Sheet reconciliations, Budgeting and Forecasting, and any support required by the wider business and CFO.

An Insight into some of the duties:

Preparation of the annual budget and 5 year business plan.
Assist in Financial Reporting and Planning improvement plan including recommending, developing and implementing revised procedures and controls.
Preparation of monthly estimated actuals including orders, sales and margin – understanding variances and presenting to senior finance staff at monthly meeting
The coordination and communication of the monthly settlement and reporting process in readiness for the preparation of monthly reporting packs for each legal entity.
Preparation of monthly management reports, understanding key variances working with the wider finance team to prepare the finance pack for the CFO.
Preparation of annual statutory accounts for several entities including consolidated accounts and agreeing such accounts for sign off by both the CFO and the auditors.
As the Finance Manager you will work independently but with the support of a wider team to ensure outgoing financial data is as accurate and timely as possible and meets the needs of the user.
Provide a reference point for technical advice on financial accounting standards.
Support and contribute in the implementation of process and system improvements.
Acting as main point of contact for both external and internal auditors.
Control and management of VAT reporting.
Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, validating the integrity of source data supporting evidence.
Assist in the development, training and motivation of your team members to ensure they are aware of and capable of delivering their objectives.

To apply we ask that you are / have:

A Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA with strong management accounting and ideally up to date experience of IFRS and statutory reporting.
Ideally you with have experience working with a large ERP system SAP, Oracle etc
Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
A commercial outlook and financial awareness beyond standard accounting.
A proactive mind–set to ensure resolution and completion of tasks, "Can Do" attitude.
An ability to multi–task and work to tight deadlines.
Attention to detail, with an inquisitive nature to maximise the accuracy of data.
Previous people management experience would be an advantage.
