We wish to appoint a Head of Computer Science and Digital Strategy for September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to continue the development of ICT and Computer Science at Key Stages 3,4 and 5.

The successful applicant is likely to have experience teaching both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and will be knowledgeable in aspects of computing beyond the specification requirements.

The Head of Computer Science and Digital Strategy will have an important, wider whole school role, leading the implementation of the ICT development strategy. The post holder will advise colleagues on incorporating ICT effectively and appropriately within lessons across all curriculum areas.

Furthermore, the Head of Computer Science and Digital Strategy will be responsible for the school VLE, and use of MSTeams and OneDrive and  liaise closely with the IT support provider support team to ensure that the network is secure and fit for purpose.

The successful candidate must have:

·      Expert knowledge of computing and a keen interest in Computer Science.

·      Leadership experience within a school setting.

·      Proven experience in teaching Computing at KS3 and KS4 level, ensuring pupils achieve their full potential against predicted grades, using tracking and monitoring data.

·      Experience in developing ICT within a department.

·      The ability to plan, manage and deliver on a whole school project.
