Job Title : Health & Social Care Tutor
Location : Croydon
Salary : £32,000 per annum
Employment Type : Full-Time
Role Overview:
As a Health & Social Care Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring learners to help them achieve their full potential in the field of health and social care. You will primarily deliver short courses funded by the Adult Education Budget (AEB), up to Level 3. A flexible working approach is highly desirable as is the ability to travel as and when required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Learner Management: Manage a caseload of AEB learners and apprentices, providing guidance and support throughout their learning journey.
- Course Delivery: Deliver a range of Health and Social Care qualifications, potentially up to Level 3, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Personalized Learning: Tailor learning solutions to meet the individual needs of each learner, fostering their interest and confidence in the field.
- E-Portfolio Management: Utilize e-portfolio systems effectively to track and manage learners' progress and achievements.
- Curriculum Alignment: Align training delivery with curriculum requirements, industry standards, and sector developments.
- Organization and Planning: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to structure activities effectively and ensure timely completion of records and paperwork.
- Flexibility: Be willing to travel to different locations as required, balancing on-site and remote work as necessary.
Essential/Desirable Criteria :
- Occupational Competency: Substantial occupational competency and work experience in a leadership role in Health & Social Care - essential.
- Assessing Qualification: Possessing an assessing qualification (e.g., D32/33, A1, TAQA, CAVA) is highly desirable
- Teaching Qualification: Holding a teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, QTS, PGCE) is essential for the role
- Training Experience: Experience delivering training or mentoring in a professional capacity.
