About Us: Situated in Newham, our school is unwaveringly committed to delivering exceptional education and specialized support, particularly for students with high-needs Autism. We're actively seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a High-Needs Autism SEN Teaching Assistant.
Role Highlights: - Working Hours: Full-time hours, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, meticulously crafted to meet the unique needs of our students.
- Immediate Start: This role commences with a trial starting from Thursday, offering an immediate opportunity to contribute positively.
- Temp to Perm: There's potential for the role to transition into a permanent position, contingent upon performance and school requirements.
What We're Looking For: We are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant who embodies:
- Experience: Proven experience in dealing with high-needs Autism and a robust background in supporting students with SEND.
- Empathy: The ability to comprehend and address the unique needs of students with Autism, cultivating a positive and nurturing learning atmosphere.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to the dynamic needs of the students and the role.
Responsibilities: - Specialized Support: Deliver personalized and specialized support to students with SEN, tailoring your approach to meet their specific requirements.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and external specialists to implement bespoke support plans.
- Personal Care: Assist with personal care needs, including changing nappies, ensuring the well-being and comfort of the students.
Requirements: - Experience: Proven experience in a comparable role supporting students with high-needs Autism and a strong background in SEND is advantageous.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in special education or related fields are highly valued
