Job Purpose
The role will be part of the Capital Projects Management Team who are accountable for implementing the buildings and infrastructure programme required to support ambitious plans.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage masterplan development.
- Responsible for the development and governance of the site masterplan in a timely manner which supports the project.
- Ensure projects remain within budget, managing the financial aspects including contracts, change orders and any disputes.
- Accurate estimation and predictability of programme costs and timing, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money of the work packages within the build programme.
- Challenge technical assumptions to ensure that optimum solutions are achieved for the project.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including architects, engineers, subcontractors and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and communicated.
- Ensure appropriate monitoring and controlling of projects performance and provide timely and accurate data reporting.
- Delivery of the required build outputs to enable the required outcomes to allow the programme to realise its intended benefits.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Chartered or professional Engineer in Civil, Structural, Architectural or Mechanical Engineering fields ideal but not essential.
- Experience of master planning for technical campus.
- Design management experience of a large external team.
- Technical proficiency, structural engineering experience along with the ability to adapt, innovate and meet changing demands.
- Experience in Buildings, structures and internal fit projects.
- A good working knowledge of MEP systems, fire alarm, LV power, ventilation etc
- Strong Commercial awareness and experienced in UK Engineering Contracts, specifically JCT and/or NEC.
- Background in managing large–scale projects in various sectors including batteries, pharma, R&D, hospitals, large–scale manufacturing, aerospace, Semi–Conductors, Specialised Environments, or other large factory builds.
- Proven track record in dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion and ability to achieve results within the set time frame.
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with a wide range of key stakeholders and ability to influence the key decision makers.
- Strong and demonstrable leadership and management skills including project management, procurement, contract management, financial and change management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi–disciplinary team with excellent people management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, proactive development, motivation and engagement of the team.
Job Offer
- Salary: 70,000 – 85,000
- Car Allowance: 6,800
- Bonus: 12.5%
