Job description
Domestic couple (Head Gardener & Part time Housekeeper) sought to look after weekend residence for an informal family in a beautiful rural location near Taunton in Somerset.
Team players important as the family also employ another Live in Couple who work at weekends and a part time Gardener once a week.
The property is a large 5 bedroom house with a 2 bedroom guest cottage that sits in 70 acres of land including formal gardens (1.5 acres) lawns (5 acres) kitchen garden 2 ponds a small lake and woodlands (15 acres). They are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Gardener to work alongside the other Gardener/Maintenance man and part time Gardener and assist with all general garden maintenance duties such as lawn care strimming hedge cutting maintaining the vegetable garden weeding pruning planting chopping wood cleaning gutters chainsaw work use of tractor pond work pool maintenance etc.
The Housekeeper role will include cleaning washing and ironing. Principal has very high standards and is looking for a highly efficient housekeeper who is very organised and will keep the house immaculate and is happy to work alongside the full time Housekeeper. Very occasional family cooking would be a bonus but not essential. The part time position will be 2 days per week when the full time housekeeper has her days off and also include extra hours when the housekeeper is on holiday (paid extra).
Accommodation offered is a separate 2 bedroom bungalow with a lovely SW facing private garden on the property pets welcome.
Salary negotiable according to experience around 55k 60k gross pa. Interviewing now to start when ideal couple found.
