Job description
We are recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join an independent, supportive and well-established engineering supplies company in Hemel Hempstead.
Specialising in the Mechanical and Electrical sector of the Building Services industry, this company has over 40 years’ experience in delivering the highest quality products, service, and customer care.

This role is 100% office based

Hours: 9am-5.30pm

Key responsibilities:
Search for and negotiate contracts with suppliers
Collecting and analysing data, predicting trends and forecasting
Stock control management
Craft purchase order and inventory reports for management
Solve supply chain problems
Ensure all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders
Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders
Liaise between suppliers and relevant internal departments
Assessing the reliability of suppliers and delivery performance
Ensure all materials comply with Health and Safety guidelines
React to changes in customer demand
Maintain relationships with existing suppliers whilst seeking new ones
