Supply Chain Coordinator

Are you passionate about streamlining operations and ensuring seamless supply chain management? We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our clients team as a Supply Chain Coordinator. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in optimizing their procurement processes, fostering strong relationships with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support their production operations.
Key Responsibilities for the Supply Chain Coordinator:
- Placing Purchase Orders: Utilize the MRP system to efficiently place purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring timely procurement of materials.
- Order Acknowledgements: Process order acknowledgments from suppliers to confirm receipt and validate delivery schedules.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and implement solutions to address production material shortages, minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Indirect Purchases: Take charge of indirect purchases initiated via purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with procurement protocols.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, promoting a culture of quality excellence and minimizing production impacts.
- Delivery Scheduling: Schedule deliveries within assigned supplier accounts, optimizing logistics and inventory management.
- Vendor Scorecard Maintenance: Maintain Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with key vendors by implementing and regularly reviewing scorecards and KPIs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with quality control, logistics, and production teams to ensure alignment and efficiency across the supply chain.
- Additional Support: Provide support for any other activities required to bolster the procurement function and overall supply chain operations.
Main Deliverables for the Supply Chain Coordinator:
- Maintain an agreed low level of shortages to support uninterrupted production processes.
- Implement scorecards to measure KPIs for key vendor accounts, driving continuous improvement.
- Record and maintain agreed-upon planning KPIs to ensure optimal inventory management.
- Process rejections and purchase requisitions promptly to maintain operational efficiency.
The successful Supply Chain Coordinator will have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Purchasing, with a strong background in order management.
- Proficiency in administration skills, including MS Excel/MS Word or experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in handling procurement processes.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines, demonstrating strong time management skills.
