Job Description
- Provide financial advice and guidance to department leaders and managers
- Assist in the preparation and control of the organisation's budget
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures, regulations and legislation
- Undertake financial analysis and reporting
- Identify potential areas for cost savings
- Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial reports
- Contribute to financial audits
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Officer should have:
- Expertise in a finance role within the public sector
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of financial legislation and procedures
- Ability to work in a team and individually
