About the Department

Our Secondary Department caters to students from Years 7 to 13, providing a rigorous and stimulating academic program that prepares them for success in universities around the world. We offer a full Chinese National Curriculum alongside a strong Western curriculum, fostering fluency in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Thai. We are committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals who are academically strong, culturally aware, and ethically responsible. We are seeking an exceptional and passionate educator to lead our Secondary Department, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students.

Responsibilities of the Head of Secondary Department

• Provide strong educational leadership and direction for the department, ensuring alignment with the school's overall vision and mission.
• Oversee the curriculum development and implementation for Years 7-13, ensuring it meets the highest academic standards and caters to the diverse needs of our students.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of highly qualified and dedicated secondary teachers.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment within the department, promoting professional development and open communication among teachers.
• Manage and evaluate the department's budget effectively, allocating resources to optimize student learning.
• Collaborate with the Headmaster and other senior leaders to develop and implement school-wide policies and initiatives.
• Represent the Secondary Department at school events and functions, building strong relationships with parents, students, and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Age at least 35, not exceeding 50 years old.
• Master's degree in Education or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within a secondary school setting.
• Proven track record of successful curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Strong pedagogical expertise and understanding of best practices in secondary education.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English is essential. Mandarin Chinese and Thai language proficiency is a plus.
• A passionate commitment to providing a high-quality education for all students.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• A deep understanding of and appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives.
