Location: Hybrid 23 days per week in Cheltenham

This role requires SC clearance and in future will require DV clearance. Active SC or DV is not required (although it is highly desirable) but you must be eligible to pass SC and DV clearance to be considered.

About the role:
Our Senior Cloud Delivery Managers are accountable for the delivery strategy team productivity quality and successful delivery of complex AWS platform and landing zone initiativesestablishing efficient processes and unblocking issues for the team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the AWS platform engineering securityand architectureteams championing agile/engineering best practice
- Ensure the team is effectively resourced that a positive team culture is established and strive to build a collaborative highperforming team
- Work closely with the Cloud Platform Leads to ensure the vision and strategy is documented and clearly communicated including an articulation of the steps/stages needed to achieve the end goal
- Establish and lead team governance including regular retrospectives embed a culture of continuous improvement and automation
- Utilise Jira and Confluence to structure daily work and establish delivery metrics which enable data driven decision making drive accurate delivery dates and highlight areas for productivity improvement
- Produce and maintain team status reports including risks issues dependencies items for escalation and an accurate roadmap
- Become the go to person for any information about the team
- Work with other Delivery Leads to establish a common consistent Delivery Method and approach across the organisation sharing best practice and positive ways of working
Key Experience:
- Experience of having run AWS transformations including experience with AWS landing zones/multiaccount infrastructure
- Hands on experience of working with key AWS services
- Knowledgeable about the key security risks that are present when using AWS and how these can be prevented detected and remediated
- Previous experience leading agile delivery teams consisting of multiple scrum teams/squads within a largescale agile delivery programme managing all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle to build release and support world class cloud platforms
- Demonstrable understanding of the agile delivery process and the nuances of using agile at scale
- Experience of progressing work from a business idea through to a fully supported highquality solution running within a cloud environment
- Understanding of continuous delivery/integration and continuous improvement
- Expert on the latest engineering practices and delivery methods covering all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle. Familiar with scrum Kanban and lean
- Proven leader with demonstrable experience of building highly productive teams
- Understands the key metrics which should be captured and reviewed to drive productivity and quality within the delivery teams
