We're seeking a professional with a passion for training and a proven track record of developing and implementing impactful training programs to join a rapidly growing business as an Aviation Technical Training Manager.

As the Aviation Technical Training Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing training programs that ensure their employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.

You will and oversee the design and update training curricula to align with industry standards, regulatory requirements and technological advancements in aviation maintenance.

This is a critical position that directly contributes to my client’s ongoing success.

They are a leading business in the UK’s blossoming defence sector and part of the Lincolnshire Defence and Security Cluster, a group of high growth defence and aerospace businesses.

Key aspects of the role include:

•Coordinate and manage aviation maintenance training programmes, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics to ensure effective and efficient training delivery

•Work with subject matter experts to create engaging and effective instructional materials, including manuals, presentations, and multimedia content

•Evaluation and Assessment: Implement methods to assess the effectiveness of training programmes, gather feedback, and continuously improve the quality of training delivery

•Collaborate with various departments, including operations, safety, and quality assurance, to identify training needs and develop targeted programs to address those needs

•Explore and integrate new technologies, such as simulation tools and virtual reality, to enhance training methodologies and keep pace with advancements in aviation maintenance

What we’re looking for:

•Proven work experience as a Technical Training Manager, Technical Trainer or similar role

•Experience in developing technical course content both for novices and experts with technology

•Strong technical knowledge and expertise in a regulated environment

•Teaching Qualification (e.g., Certified Technical Trainer)

•Familiarity with web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques.

•Ability to interpret departmental training requirements and create engaging and insightful content using technology to drive engagement.

It would also be desirable if you had technical knowledge and expertise in an aviation environment and proficiency in use of common software packages including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power BI, Microsoft Project.

A Degree in relevant field such as Education, Computer Science, Engineering would be desirable (though not essential).

You should also have the ability to acquire UK security clearance and have a full UK driving licence.
