Location: Newton Abbott

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (negotiable)

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing high-quality marine engineering products, is seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join their collaborative team in Newton Abbott. If you have a background in marine operations, mechanical engineering, or a strong understanding of mechanical systems, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue and expand market presence.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retailers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Create sales proposals, identify growth markets, and develop effective sales strategies.

Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

Comprehend and analyze mechanical components, presenting effective solutions aligned with client needs.

Maintain strong professional relationships with existing clients and expand sales territories by meeting with new clients.

Principally office-based role with occasional field sales work, including customer visits and participation in national and international trade exhibitions.

Requirements:

Flexible approach to work and colleagues.

Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong work ethic and a positive 'Can do' attitude with initiative and enthusiasm.

Accurate and well-organized.

Background or interest in marine or mechanical engineering, or relevant work-based qualifications.

Proven sales experience in a technical or mechanical field (marine knowledge/experience is advantageous but not essential).

Ability to discuss specific requirements, guiding clients through design, manufacture, and installation stages.

IT literate – including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Mathematical and numerical skills are essential.

Full UK driving license and car ownership would be advantageous.
