In this role you are responsible for service tenders from initial customer request to contract closing and handover to operations. The activities include working with customers creating and completing bids/estimations/quotations based on customer’s technical specification and other requirements to achieve both market competitiveness, high quality tenders and profitable business. Field of operation will be the substation automation market and you will have the opportunity to handle a variety of tenders with a special focus on service in the Polish market.
Your responsibilities:
- Selling service opportunities in various stages from prospecting to closure with a customer order.
- When applicable promote services and solutions in the market, with participation at trade fairs, exhibitions, customer meetings, and with telephone contacts.
- Creation of commercially, legally, and technically optimized and high-quality offers, based on the specifications from our customers.
- Definition of the scope of supply to be offered.
- Close cooperation with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors.
- Cost calculation estimations and determination of the costs, margins, and sales price.
- Tender planning and on time tender submittals.
- When required, provide technical support to other sales resources during various sales stages as well as supporting the contract negotiation.
- Preparation of tender documents and reports for internal risk reviews and tender submission approvals.
Your background:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, with strong technical background, ideally with emphasis in power engineering.
- Excellent technical understanding of substation automation, control and protection solutions.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of substation automation, control and protection, cyber security, communication and/or telecontrol technology.
- Good knowledge of the grid automation market.
- Ideally previous experience in Service and Sales.
- Strong understanding and previous experience of tendering and commercial processes would be an advantage.
- Proven track record from working either with electrical utility, system integrator, or technical consultant.
- Willingness to travel as part of business assignments.
