Purpose of the role:
Ashtons is in search of an experienced Head of e-Commerce to spearhead our online sales initiatives and digital presence in the pharmacy distribution sector. This key role is integral to driving the growth of our e-commerce business, ensuring effective online transactions, and upholding compliance with healthcare regulations.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Devise and execute comprehensive e-commerce strategies to boost online sales and enhance customer engagement.
- Manage and refine the company’s online sales platforms, guaranteeing a user-friendly, secure, and efficient e-shopping experience.
- Collaborate with IT and marketing departments to improve website functionality, including mobile optimisation and the integration of cutting-edge features like AI-driven suggestions.
- Oversee digital marketing campaigns, encompassing SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media strategies to increase traffic and conversion rates.
- Monitor online sales performance, analyse trends, and compile reports to inform business strategies.
- Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards specific to online pharmaceutical sales.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to assure prompt and accurate fulfilment of online orders.
- Maintain relationships with digital vendors and partners.
- Stay updated on the latest e-commerce trends and technologies, evaluating their potential impact on our business.
- Lead and manage the e-commerce business division and P&L, promoting a culture of innovation and continual improvement.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce, with specific experience in the pharmaceuticals or healthcare industry highly valued.
- In-depth understanding of digital marketing strategies and e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of online retailing laws and regulations, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.
