Job description

A highly-rated Staffordshire pharmacy is now looking for an qualified Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join the team, which could be on a full-time or part-time basis. The team works hard to keep pharmacy care as accessible and supportive as possible for all members of the local community.

A broad range of NHS and private services are offered here, including new and repeat prescriptions, contraception services, chlamydia testing, flu vaccinations, and minor ailment and healthy lifestyle consultations, in a convenient location close to local amenities and public transport routes. As a Pharmacy Counter Assistant, you will play a key role in making the pharmacy a bright and welcoming place, including supporting the sale of OTC medicines and products, helping with general enquiries, and getting involved in processes (such as managing stock) that keep the pharmacy running smoothly for a pleasant patient experience. This is a permanent position for a Pharmacy Counter Assistant; full-time and part-time can be discussed. Person specification :

• (Essential) Previous experience working in a community pharmacy.
• (Essential) A relevant counter assistant qualification, for example the completion of an accredited Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) course.
