The salary range : £85K- £95k plus benefits. May go higher for the right candidate.
Experience as Lead/Feed & EPC and be able to work 3 days per week at the office, 2 days remote.

We support flexible working requests and have adopted a hybrid approach for most of our office-based roles. We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Leads planning for Consultancy group of Petrofac responsible for planning on FEED and Detailed Design projects. Capable of producing FEED and EPC schedules with appropriate logic. The Lead planner will support projects as well as managing the other planners.
- The Lead Planner Undertakes Project planning services on projects and proposals, in accordance with information approved by the Project Manager / Project Proposal Manager. Capable of checking the work of other Planning Engineers. Responsible for providing planning expertise to create and analyse schedules, where possible supporting and communicating project schedule issues potentially impacting the project to the Project Control Lead, Project Manager or Project Proposal Manager.
- The Planning Engineer will lead the planning team.
- Corporate reporting line is to the respective Departmental Group Manager.
- Focal point for all planning activities. Lead the planning department for Consulting and manage other planners.
- Set corporate procedures and processes.
- Analyse detailed project requirements and prepare the project master schedule which integrates strategies and constraints for all project phases. Able to perform planning services in a reliable and responsive manner.
- Prepare EPC schedules for future phases as part of FEED and Detailed design delivery.
- Monitor and report progress against schedules using required elements of the integrated project control system and in line with contractual requirements.
- Prepare manpower loading and work breakdown structure.
- Prepare project reporting for engineers, schedule risk analysis, progress and corrective actions and critical path analysis.
- Prepare and maintain progress curves for each project phase in accordance with the Project Control Plan, including baseline and forecast curves.
- Support the use of a document level progress measurement system and operate the performance measurement systems
- In conjunction with the projects material control group, prepare and maintain, a requisition tracking system that meets the requirements of the Project Control Plan.
- Prepare and where appropriate, make presentations to project teams and client on schedule control methodologies and procedures used by the company.
- Support Sales and Proposal groups in the preparation of proposals as appropriate.
- Review and check work carried out by other Planners.
- Ensure compliance with Petrofac’s ISO Quality procedures, Project Quality Plan and Design Integrity processes and procedures. Comply with other Petrofac accredited frameworks such as ISO 14001
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: - Batchelors degree relevant subject, preferably in Engineering
- FEED and EPC Experience
- Primavera P6 knowledge.
- The ability to communicate with clients and internal stakeholders on planning
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good organisation skills.
- Planning logic and execution strategies for new energy projects where scope has not been executed before
- Complex commercial models to be incorporated into planning
- Responsible for planning and forecasting of FEED projects up to £20m with Liquidated Damages. Accuracy in planning is critical to reducing Petrofacs exposure to financial liability through LDs. Also responsible for EPC schedules which will be the basis for other parts of Petrofac to execute EPC projects, errors will lead to considerable cost overruns.
