Job description


Salford Royal Hospital is part of the Greater Manchester Kidney Care Network, providing Renal Services to patients living in the North & West Sector of Greater Manchester.

We would like to appoint a highly motivated specialist nurse with relevant clinical & managerial experience to be the Renal Vascular Access Team Leader within Renal Services at Salford Care Organisation

You will provide nurse led clinics within Vascular with the ability to develop and participate in specialist areas of interest, support the service wide EPO programme & will manage the VA Team and be responsible for the day to day management of the service. The successful candidate will have an extensive renal background, be a non-medical prescriber. Clinical support is provided by the Consultant Body with a dedicated mentor & opportunities for personal and clinical development.

You must possess excellent communication skills, strong leadership and have the ability to influence change, together with the skills necessary to deliver against the Trusts key performance targets. The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and willing to go the extra mile to enhance the patient experience are essential for the post.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
